I care deeply about people, and in my work, I choose to let them feel my heart. For some, I may be the only reminder that they matter—and that makes this work sacred.
The challenge is that compassion is often misinterpreted as weakness, especially for women. Being real, looking someone in the eyes, and letting them feel seen is sometimes labeled as being “unhealed.” But in truth, it takes strength to remain open in a world that often teaches us to close off.
This part of me can’t change. It was created by observing more than a thousand survivors of abuse. I listened to firsthand accounts of horrific crimes. After holding those stories, I can’t look into someone’s eyes and withhold love.
Compassion is not weakness. It is power.
